Hi, I posted last week cos I had two mums interested in my one vacancy and was wondering how you choose as I had messed up a situation like this last year.
Moving on and I gave the first mum her pack on Friday morning telling her I had some one else visiting me that day about the place and that if she was interested to ring me asap. Not a dicky bird since!!!
Second mum visited without her son, was lovely, wants full time (after school and hols) and then brought her son to visit again yesterday to see what he thought. He was happy enough so she is coming one evening this week to do contracts!
So, if the first mum gets back to me now, I do feel I gave her a fair chance at being first in line so to speak.
AND! I have revised my terms and fees since being a member here so that I now charge full rate for child holiday/sickness and I've upped my after school session from 7.00 to 10.00. This mum is happy with that, so I am too! Shame I can't up everyone elses, but it would be too much of an increase in one go for them really. When we renew contracts at end of Aug, I will be charging them 8.00 per session and full rate for hols/sickness too.
If the new mum some how found out that she was paying more per session, I could justify it because her son will come under EYFS as he will be in reception so will generate more paperwork....
Feeling really proud of myself now! And thanks to every one here for the advice!
