    Default DBS woes!

So .... DD turned 16 last week ... She filled out the DBS form and I paid the fee .....

DD has no record of her reference number , BUT, i presumed she'd get an email telling her what to do next ....

    NOTHING! ....

So, on Tuesday evening we went onto the website again, and she filled it all out with me there ... and it asked me to pay ( which i was not going to do! ) ... so I checked ( even though I KNEW i had ) and yes, payment taken from my account last week.. but no reference number etc. I emailed Capita using their 'contact me' information, and said that DD had filled in the form, and had paid ( i have proof ) but she has not had a confirmation or receipt email. They say they will respond to all emails within 24 hours. It is now Thursday evening, and nothing!

So, I am going to have to ring them tomorrow to ask. I suspect they will say that they can't talk to me/confirm anything, except DD is at school and has tests/exams etc most days, with lots of revision etc it being that time of year, and is really fed up that I am chasing her! I'm fed up too, but equally, I can't see where anything has gone awry! DD has checked her in/out/saved/junk/spam etc emails and she didn't have ANY emails on the day we completed form or the next 2 days! ( and it isn't that she had an email glitch, just she doesn't use email! )

If it comes to it, We will fill it all in again, and pay again, but I will be chasing Capita for a refund.

anyway! don't know WHY i am posting this thread! just to share my GRRRRRR really, and maybe someone has experience of the same, or knows what else we can do!

And today, DD gets an email telling her she has yet to give Ofsted her DBS number!

Have just emailed them giving her reference number and the fact that it was filed/emailed on sat 24th April!

This is turning into an absolute nightmare!

Why can’t it ever be straight forward?

They must do so many of these you’d think by now they’d have a system In place that worked! Fingers crossed you get it all sorted soon.
