    Default Our "Continuous provision"

What exactly is meant by this? Is it literally translated to what we continually provide? So the resources I continually provide to aid learning etc?

Yes, but not just physical resources. It is also things that you do continuously, like singing nursery rhymes, pointing out changes in nature through the seasons, counting the steps as you go up and down them etc.

‘Continuous Provision’. Two words that can end up causing a great deal of confusion! | Laura Henry Consultancy...

This looks at it in a bit more detail.

As with all areas of provision we need to monitor our continuous provision, and the ages or needs of specific children change - we need to make sure we are providing an environment which is challenging and enabling.

I always assumed "continuous provision" refers to the fact that I can open at 6am, close at 6pm, and still have parents sending me text messages in the whole 12 hours in between.

............. and when I dare to take a week's holiday.
