One of my mindees is having night terrors. She is exhausted when she arrives, if she arrives as some days she sleeps to lunch time she is that tired and then her older sister minds her at home . Does any one have any tips I can pass onto her mum. TIA

Are they at the same time every night? If so, it can help to break the cycle to go in about an hour before they usually start and rouse the child. Then put them back to sleep. We used to gently call DD's name til she was slightly but not completely awake (so as not to have another problem no our hands!).

The other thing I've found really helpful is a book called The no cry sleep solution by Elizabeth Pantley. Might be able to get a copy from the library?
