Default SEND Code of Practice approved by Parliament...are you ready?

NWorld article ....useful for general info

SEND code gains parliamentary approval | Nursery World

The actual SEND Code of Practice here

    https://www.gov.uk/government/upload...ent_290714.pdf

    This a lengthy document
I have only skimmed through it...it requires us to update some of our policies

Be aware of new terminology and new acronyms as well as so many 'MUSTS' in the code

Your LA must keep you informed about their 'Local offer' and any training available and support for those who have need of help if they have children with SEN and Disability

Some CMs may want to print the whole doc but one to look at is Section 5 from p78-90 for EY providers...also section 4.37

I believe many organisations will print a summary for us so we can navigate through this a bit better

    Good luck
