    Default fathers day !

Lo I hav only has mum nan and granda within the family unit I want to do something special for all three of them from the lo .

What would you suggest I did thinking of making them all separate cards but how would you stay away from "happy fathers day" grandads could be "happy grandad day or grandparents day " what about mums what have others done in this situation

Personally I wouldn't do anything for the Mum or other female family members we have had Mothering Sunday.

I would ask the mum if she would like something done for the Grandfather or not and if not then don't bother.

I would think a lot would depend on why the father isnt in lo's life. If he has passed away then tribute can still be made. If, for whatever reason, he is around but not a part of lo's life then maybe ask mum if lo would like to just make a picture or similar.

I agree its not about the mum or gran so wouldn't suggest they become the focus.

As others have said I wouldn't do something for mum or gran as a replacement of fathers day, as we have mothers day. I would maybe do a cooking activity or general craft so lo can take something special home, but is not fathers day centred.
