I have one of these over my daughters bed. I tuck the edges tightly under her mattress and have never had a problem like this.

That is scary, I have one for my daughter, but haven't got round to putting it up.
Maybe always being behind with my To do list, isn't so bad after all.

In 18 years they have had 11 reports. They have probably sold millions. It isn't really a risk. Cars kill people daily and we still use them. I think every item you can imagine has a risk attached.

I can't imagine many of us would use these over a cot, we're all aware of the risks to babies posed by long bits of fabric, but clearly some people have... With any luck they'll be able to put them back on the shelves with a clear warning about safe use! My dd has one, it's over the foot of her bed, she snuggles under it during the day and for story time, but sleeps away from it. It's really pretty!!
