ooh, nice table! Definitely allowed. Spending less than £20 in Ikea is unheard of… did you close your eyes going through the market place? I need to know your secret for next time I go.

No I took my dh, I don't spend to much when he's with me, buy may well go back on my own. It's only the 2nd time I've been. I went to Argos while he was out this evening just left the box in the hall for him to see when he came in and just bluffed my way out of it

I bought one of these the other week was very impressed. It's sturdier and bigger than I thought. Well worth it :-)

OK you have convinced me - the children are playing with coloured rice in shallow trays and it's going everywhere, so I obviously need 2 water/sand trays - one for inside and one for outside!

Is it easy to open the lid, was thinking you could keep things 'locked' away when not needed but if little fingers can open easily not so good?!

I've had one for 18 months just used inside for messy play. Also used closed as a general table. Still going strong.

I use one for inside plus a lid to make it a normal table.
However I can't say that it stops rice or anything from going everywhere!!!!

Now that is just obscene! How can you get out of Ikea only having spent that? I went to Ikea last night and spent just under £300 All I went for was an £18 white Billy and a £35 Button design rug!

Been to Argos and collected mine - just got to work out how to hide the packaging until next Tuesday (recycling day), have popped the table outside - my husband won't spot it until the weekend as it's dark when he goes to work and gets home again!

open the box flat and slide it under the bed

or cut it up and give it the lo's to draw on and he won't notice what it is, we have to be imaginative to get rid of the evidence sometimes
