    Default Variation question

Sorry I know these questions get asked a lot but I just want to know what others think.

On a Tuesday I currently look after 2 Los (22m & 29m) plus my own dd 8m. Every few weeks a mum of another lo I mind on a Wednesday & Thursday (23m) asks if I can have her an extra day on the Tuesday. I normally say yes & just get my assistant to do an extra half day that week as the 29m is only in until 1pm. Would I be able to do this on my own under continuity of care as realistically it's only from 8am until 1pm? I know all of the children well & would fully risk assess everything or am I better off carrying on to use my assistant on these odd days?

    Hope that makes sense!

    Thanks

    Kirsty x

Yes you can under continuity of care - just make sure your risk assessment is in place and that other parents have been informed in case they don't agree

I would say you can do that under continuity of care, as long as you don't have more than 6 under 8s in total.
