    Default Boy sitting on loo

Hello there just wondering if it ia normal/ok for a boy to sit on the toilet for a wee at 7 years old?

He knows how to do it standing up but prefers to sit.

    Thanks
    M

My youngest sits or stands apparently randomly. I don't see it as a problem.

one of my children did it til quite late but that's because it was normal for him as I was told his Dad did the same. As long as they are going and not making a mess I didn't mind

I look after a little boy who has a German mother and she finds it very strange that males here stand to go to the toilet as over there every one sits. It doesn't bother me either way what they do.

I would celebrate sitting (it is more hygienic) - cleaner toilet, cleaner seat if you know what I mean.

Good thanks for your replies. Wasnt really worried and actually had only ever told him to stand when in public loos but never bothered how he did it at home.

My six year old sits (and makes less mess thank goodness) but my four year old stands and sprays everywhere!

I think either is normal tbh.

I never trained my sons that way but I know lots do

I do not think it really matters and when he gets older I think he will stand I think it will come natural

I'd prefer it if all my male mindees sit, one won't even lift the seat and wees all over it and the floor! hardly ever flushes the chain and I have to stand over him to make sure he washes his hands!!!
