I love reading the Daily Mail and then reading the Independent, Guardian ,Huffington Post, the Spectator and comparing the media focus......

When I was training, back in the early 70's in Birmingham - all the North East students had special classes to help with their accent- which I felt was laughable considering the local accent was equally as'broad' as the North East to a middle England, Northamptonshire girl. ( no offence intended - my son has a broad Brummie accent! )

I thought we had moved forward in this area.............
