    Default Coloured rice

    Hi all

I'm just putting food dye on some rice for sensory play, how long does it take to dry?

    Thanks Viki

It shouldn't take too long as it's warm today - I cover trays with clingfilm and spread the rice out thinly on them then put in sun to dry.

I used freezer bags. Filled approx 1/3 of the bag with rice, added food colouring and a few dashes if vinegar. Shook it about a bit and rubbed the colouring in. Lay the bag down flat to spread the rice out. In left it like this overnight and they were all dry the next morning. All self contained and very little mess. I have kept any rice I havnt used in the very same bags for a few weeks now. x
