    Quick question!! Are u meant to put all of the children's shies and coats on during a practise fire drill?! Xxx

    Hi, no you wouldn't you should do exactly what you should do in a real fire! Otherwise come the real one it could throw you x

    That's what I thought poor little puppets are gonna have wet cold feet lol xxx thanks for the advise an newly registered so wasn't sure

    No keep it as real as possible. However, be warned, my drill a few weeks ago resulted in the children jumping in muddy puddles in the garden, no shoes... Lol
    My ds is often found with the broom handle trying to turn the alarm on lol

    Some years ago we had an older child who reacted very badly to being told to leave the house during a fire drill without shoes on. He was very distressed.

    This led us to chat with parents and change our procedures - he now wears slippers provided by home and mum has reassured him that it's fine to get them wet if we say so.

    You will only spot problems like this by doing regular evactuation practices
