    Default Screamer has settled :-))

Some of you might remember my posts recently about my new 13m old screamer, who was accustomed to being parked in buggy, in front of TV with a dummy? I even got earplugs!

Well, I just wanted to say: we have made a huge amount of progress! Screaming is now down to just 30 seconds in arrival. Today he played for half an hour on the floor rolling balls to me and hiding them under my sofa, giggling and smiling. TV was OFF, dummy disappeared, buggy indoors not required... Proper play at last!

But here is the best bit... I hand him over to Mum after work and, as we had just gone our separate ways in the car park, she shouted after me because he was not only waving... but blowing me kisses. :-D

Well done! It is so good when you are making profess, and better for the child too. You are making a positive difference. Brilliant. X

I still consider myself a newbie (3 years experience only)... in the end it wasn't anything to do with my childcare training, Ofsted or 'official guidelines'... it was good old fashioned common sense, instinct and 'school of life' that helped us turn the corner.

Well done you . My first full day with 4 (inc an unsettled one !!!!! ) He separated from Mum and settled within seconds this morning. He is having his half hour nap just now and the other 3 playing picnics and babies. Long may it continue

I'm sure we will still have a few 'wobbles' but I'm learning how to snap him out of it. Just a case of trying lots of things and seeing what sticks.
