Can you help me track down this childrens book

As a child I used to love reading a book about a boy and a dragon. It was a baby dragon to start with but as no one believed in dragons and chose to ignore him he grew bigger and bigger until it was as big as a house. Eventually it was so big no one could ignore it and had to admit he was real. From that moment he shrunk down to a baby sized dragon and the boy kept him as a pet.

It was a cute book. I have no idea of the title and can't find it anywhere. Anyone?
