I have logs loads as we have a wood on our farm but DH won't let me have them on the grass in the garden as he wouldn't be able to get the ride on mower round them If only I could move them when he is working no chance
Might have to extend the patio a bit and have them there, love the idea
Happy to be back with the Greenies
Lovely. I am going to copy it
Why hasn't Gary Barlow come to my rescue yet?

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments.
Ok so here goes....I live in a rural area and I was driving down the road when I spotted a garden full of huge logs. I saw the neighbour outside and asked if she knew if they were for sale or not. Turned out a friend of mine lived there and I had no idea!! Anyway, my friends hubby asked what sizes I wanted and then told me he'd sort it out. The following weekend he arrived at mine with a boot full of tree trunks. They aren't secured in as they are so heavy there's no way I could lift them let alone a child. They smaller ones are slightly dug into the ground but thats it. The once upon a time wording is double laminated. The flowers, butterflies and windmills are from the 99p shop. My favourite bits are the little bird houses which I also got for 99p, Ive put little fairies in them and the lo love going on a fairy hunt! I even left a trail of fairy dust(fine glitter) which they followed, magical!
There are some questions for the older ones which say, can you make up your own story? Where would your characters live? etc...
The floor is just bark chippings laid on top of some membrane to stop weeds.
I did it all on my own when hubby was working lol, he couldnt believe it when he came home!!!
I think all in all it cost about £80.
Hope that answers all the questions, i shall look forward to seeing your pics when you've created your own lol.
If all else fails......add glitter!
That's really beautiful! X
Monkey by Name........Monkey by Nature!
Wow!! Beautiful! I've been dreaming about logs for a few years now...
And the fairy idea and older children's ideas are so nice! Magical!
Fantastic! Would love to have one, but not sure how much use in the cold North East Scotland, it feels freezing here today!
That's really lovely I got some logs for my garden when I had a static caravan, but they've rotted in the rain Have you treated them with anything?
Thanks so much. I havent treated them with anything as yet but will be before winter sets in.
One thing I ought to mention which I hadnt thought about....Ive got to get all the stuff off the fence so dh can stain the fanels, then put it up again!!!
oops!
I am really chuffed with everyones comments, thanks guys!

It's just beautiful. What lucky children! I'm sensing a theme here - OH's and their unappreciation of tree stumps!
Its funny because when I was trying to explain it to dh he was like "I dont get it, I cant imagine it"
I have to say though, he really likes it. Thing is its not permanent, when I decide to finish minding I can just take away all the wording etc and plant shrubs in there.
If all else fails......add glitter!
