    I have registered again - didn't plant them this year 2 were rotten on arrival and didn't get round to ringing them for replacements. Then the weather was awful too. Must do better next year

    Not seen this before. We already do potato pots, never mind preparing my allotment for next year's crop, but I'm always up for a freebie and the resource materials could be useful.

    But it looks like a schools scheme. How does it work for childminders?

    It works fine for childminders, I registered this year, planted the potatoes late but had quite a good crop (1.9Kg) I didn't bother to pull them up when they tell you for entering the competition, I just let them grow until the plants withered and then got the potatoes out - ate some already, where really nice!

    Either put your name or business name e.g. Mrstom Childcare

    That's what I've done and my registration has been accepted
