    Default Fee advice please ??

Hi everyone not been around too much but i wondered if i can have some advice

i have potential parent coming thursday with 3 children one 3,7,9

    parent would like childcare

thurs frid all year round for 3 year old and

holidays only thur/frid 7,9 year old

would you charge a set amount each week during the year so this doesn't change ?? sort of an average cost or would you charge as they use it .... its just i no the parent will receive childcare help and will have to keep calling during the holiday to up the amount !!

Also would you charge a retainer during school term for the 7 yr old ??

    Thanks in advance =)

if this was me i'd have two contracts. one for the two days of 3 yr old, 50 weeks a year will be x amount every week or x every month.
then one for the older ones. You'll beable to have a good few over 5s so the 7 yr old having one place will not leave you turning down work and i think it's ott to charge term retainer, as long as 3 yr old there thats like a guarentee they'll be there for hols.

one contract 2 days x amount for 3 yr old
one contract 2 days x amount per week for 2 kids during hols.

as for the amount maybe a little less for the two older ones during summer but not by much instead of £5 each kid maybe £4 each £8 total plus 3 yr old is nice tidy sum for a few busy days each hols. i'd like that job! x

    Thanks for the advice .

I don't offer a fee reduction though for siblings ....... its £4 per hour per child i charge as these are part time hours 2 days a week .

I defiantly need to work out an average =) Thanks again x

my basic is £5 p/h so i'd give a quid reduction on siblings. £10 just sounds too much thats why i mentioned it!
Pick a way and then stick with it, adjusting or leaving room for negotiation can mean parents take mickey later on.
