I've been a softie but most of my mindees have booked holidays for next week so all of a sudden noticed the drop in wages and it made me wonder what others do. I think I may charge £50 for the first 4 weeks booked and £112.50 after that. xxx

I charge half fees for mindee holidays as well (as long as they give 4 weeks or more notice).

I have one before & after school child and if he's not using his place I charge half fees of what it would have been if he was attending. So in the school holidays he comes 8.00am - 6.00pm so I charge 10 hours at half fees on any days he doesn't come. I'm still holding the place for him because he's 5 and comes into my numbers and mum has never queried it - at the end of the day it's still only costing her half what it would have been if he'd been coming to me.
    Cazz x
