Default advice please morning only cover

I am just setting up, had an enquiry (from a neighbour) asking about childcare, but from only 7am - 12pm, as one of their parents then looks after the child (she is 2). As she is taking up one of my under 5 spaces, what should I charge, a full days rate? I'm not likely to be able to fill that space of an afternoon. Advice is appreciated, thanks!

I have a little boy 7.30am - 12.30pm and I charge just for those hours.

I have filled 3 of the afternoons with a little girl who is at pre school mornings only so I meet Mum of the mindee who finishes at 12.30pm in the pre school car park and then go and collect the afternoon mindee so it is possible to fit them around each other.

I charge an enhanced rate before 8am though.

I charge £40 for the day, 8am till 6pm any hrs outside of this time slot are charged an extra £6 per hr. I've been doing this for 6yrs now (but was £34 to begin with) & it seems to work for me.

i know 12pm is an early finish but I have a daily min. hours of 5 hours per day so I would do it.

Also it stil means you could have an afternoon child or pick a child up from nursery.

However, you could maybe say your daily min. hours are 7 per day - that way you charge from 0700 to 1400. Gives her some flexibility and gives you a full day rate.
if you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got
