Hi There,I am based in the Lakes and work 8am until 6pm.
I charge £4.50 per hour, £4 sibling rate. My holidays and my families are all charged at 3/4 rate.
School hours are charged at £2 per hour if I am to be the contact for illness or school closure etc.
For this price the children get a home cooked hot meal and afternoon tea as well as breakfast and snacks. The food we use is Organic and locally sourced.
I include outings in my fees but ask as part of my admissions that parents of over threes provide a yearly pass for their child for the two local animal/aquarium parks, as we go there very, very often. ( under threes get free entry)
I do say to new prospective parents that I will discuss fees etc if they feel it is too expensive but when they see the facilities and foods we provide they are all happy to pay that amount.
Good luck in your new venture
    Ria

I charge £6 per hour and I'm also in London... I know CMs who charge a bit less or a bit more.. it really depends.
I include food, drinks, snacks, groups etc... just not nappies.
    Happy days

I am in West Wales and charge £30 per day (8am-6pm) for babies through to part time education. I only do by the hour for full time schoolies at £3.50 ph and a minimum of 2 hours.

I'm in Hertfordshire, but on the border of 2 London boroughs. I charge £40 per day 8 -6 and include, food and nappies. Unfortunately I live on a LA estate along with about 30 other CM's! CM's who live just outside of my estate are charging more and some on the estate charge less. Unfortunately I'm in a catch 22 situation, most of the families I mind for come from the neighbouring London Boroughs and are quids in, but if I put my prices up to much I would loose the business to the CM's (and certainly can't afford to do that at the moment )

I'm in Devon too - near Cullompton. I charge £4.25 per hour but most cms around here charge £4. I charge more because my fees include trips, all meals and snacks and nappies. Also I have an outstanding grading and lots of qualifications.

i'm in Surrey and charge £5.50 per hour, but reduce it to £45 for a full 10 hour day.

I provide everything but nappies, and only ask for extra during school hols when we have a full day out.

I know some charge less per hour than me, but a dog walker gets paid more that I do!!!!

I'm also in Devon and currently charge 3.20 an hour, £30 a day (8-6) or £135 a full week, however that will be changing in April to 3.50, £32, or £145, as I am way under a lot of what other cm's are charging, apparently between 3.75 and 4.50 an hour
Having said that i will probably chicken out and only charge it to new customers!

Btw that also includes all food and drink, wipes, trips, outings, everything except nappies and food for under 1's, although I have heard that some cm's are now charging something like £5 a week to cover playgroups etc. Personally I think that's a bit of a cheek but I suppose some parents are happy to pay it.

I'm in SW Herts just insde the M25. I charge £4.50ph £5ph for 20 hours or less. I have 5 weeks paid holiday a year so for a full timer the only time they don't pay me is if I'm off sick which thakfully isn't very often. I think it is about 2yrs now since I had a sick day. Term time get 8 weeks a year at half fee.

I include breakfast, cooked lunch, cooked tea and snacks in the morning and afternoon. Infact the only thing I ask the parents to provide is nappies and formular. All outtings are included.

I am seriously thinking of increasing the fees next Spring. I haven't done so for 4yrs now and the cost of food, heat and light, petrol and insurances have all gone up a lot in the last couple of years.
