    Default 'free' hours when accredited

I will probably go down the route of becoming accredited soon but have a hypothetical problem.......
I would expect parents to use the free 15 hours when the child turns 3 but does not have a pre school place ie if their birthday is October and can't get preschool until following September.
So, I would knock 15 hours per week off the invoice amount.
    (with me so far?)
However, come September, and child gets preschool place... as long as I'm taking and picking up, I would expect to be paid full again adding almost £6o a week to parents bill!!
As a parent I would not be too happy about this
How can I explain to parents that this is fair?
Also, Would parents have to declare the fees reduction to wftc if they get childcare element?

I wouldn't just knock off 15 hours otherwise you will be doing extra work for no extra payment.

I would work out an enhanced fee for the time outside of the 15 hours and explain to the parents it is because their child is no only part time. Also explain that when the child goes to nursery they have to pay for a full time place again or leave the child with you.

Note that the money does not come into force until the term AFTER their 3rd birthday, so if you have an October child then the money would be from January.

Why would they want a pre-school place when they can leave their child with you and receive funding for the 15hrs?
You provide the exact same early years education as pre-school -EYFS.
Government funding is a set payment, the only problem is when your rates are higher than this so you earn less !
