need help asking for fees which are late.

Parent wanted to pay by busy bees so i have set up account (all correct-have checked with busy bees). I gave her invoice for sept and assumed they had been paid (she said she had so i believed her). Have also just given her october invoice payment due today.

Well i got my bank statement through this morning and to my surprise swhe hasnt made any payment. Thought there may be a problem with my set up so have called busy bees who have confirmed she hasnt made a payment.

So i need help writing a bright and breezy text asking for payment.

How about "Just checked my bank statement and no payment received for Sept or October - busy bees confirm this. Can you please authorise payment today. Thanks"

I got badly burnt by one of my ex mindees parents once and have chosen not to again.

I have two mindees that pay me by standing order straight into my account, one is term time only so is the same amount every month.

The other one pays half via voucher company and half directly in my account.

So far have had no problems with the voucher company but it is down to mum to pay them!

I would seriously be having a word with her, she now owes you 2 months money and that is totally unacceptable.

This is what i am worried about and its not even as if they have cash flow probs. Mum is a top doc at london hospital and dad is an IT engineer, and the mindee goes to a private school. You'd think these would be reliable people!

She is usually quite prompt with answering texts but i'm still waiting!! I'm picking up mindee today so will see what they say at collection time!!

Why is it always the parents with a few bob who are the slowest payers???

Hope you get your money - soon Minstrel. I would tell her that you expect payment bought up to date within the next 7 days or you are unable to offer childcare until outstanding debts have been paid

I will be tough and follow through though because i do extra for them I am actually making a loss- i travel 4 miles to collect (one night LO has after school activity so we have to hang round for half hour!

)and mindee has a special diet so its costing me a lot to feed dinner.

And actually now i have typed all that out i can see exactly why they havent paid me.

I have MUG tattooed across my head!

Well bear in mind these are sept fees due in advance on the 1st of every month , why the ****** hell has she only authorised this monday!!!!!

Unless she thinks i'm talking about Oct fees

but i specifically said in txt that i had not received sept fees. OMG I'M SOOOOO STRESSED AND BROKE!!

Coincience??? Maybe but i had an email a bit later from busy bees saying payment had requested to me and should receive within 3 days. That'll still be monday now though- only 5 weeks late
