Newsletter time stating that in future that fees are due on xxx date and you will be implementing a £5 per day late charge

Hope it comes through on Monday!

I think you should tell them that next time you will add late payment fees.

i have had problems with bb vouchers before ,the parent had authorised it but the money hadnt cleared in the bb account when he authorised it and he didnt know ,when i queried it he showed me the email he had from them saying he had done it , but bb didnt bother to tell him that the funds wernt availible so he had to authorise it again, so where was the money? it was in the bb account waiting for the parent to reauthorise it, when i rang them a very nice lady said " oh yes we have the money weve had it for 8 days but cant release it to you without the parents say so" sometimes the voucher companys are just as much to blame

    Thats for all your help.

Looks like Septs is on its way but now Oct fees were due yesterday so already I have to start chasing money again.

Dont understand why she didnt just authorise both at the same time.

Well bear in mind these are sept fees due in advance on the 1st of every month , why the ****** hell has she only authorised this monday!!!!!

Unless she thinks i'm talking about Oct fees but i specifically said in txt that i had not received sept fees. OMG I'M SOOOOO STRESSED AND BROKE!!
I've had this with my voucher parents in the past. I used to issue vouchers in my previous life in the HR dept of a company. Therefore I know that it takes 3 working days (usually) from authorisation to the payment hitting the providers' bank account.

However, if parents are getting the vouchers as part of their salary they won't receive the vouchers until their payday. Therefore even if they release them on 30th you won't get the money until 3rd or later if a weekend pops up in between.

I now have an agreement with my parents that 3 or 4th is fine as long as they promise it will be there no later than that every month and I moved all my dd's so I don't get charged. However this month won't get my money until Monday which is 5th so currently missing £700, all in vouchers!

I would check if they have that system at their workplace and if this is not going to work for you, you might have to rethink accepting the vouchers. Or they can pay you in cash for a few months until they build up enough vouchers in their account to release early enough to pay you on time. So, say one month cash and next month vouchers, ensuring it hits your account for 1st of Month.

    Hope that helps.

That is helpful Juggler thank you. However these fees were due on the 1st sept so surely she should have used Augusts or even Julys vouchers to pay me (term time only contract).

I am now chasing the fees for OCt which were due the 1st oct.

    I may drive myself mad!

Before assuming it is completely the parents do keep on the ball with the voucher company - my parents and I had a nightmare dealing with them. One person saying one thing and then another saying another! We were going around in circles. One minute they were saying they were authorised and the next minute another said they were not! I have learned my lesson with vouchers and insist on a months in advance, that is the only way I would work with them now. I ended up out of pocket at the beginning and it certainly wasn't for lack of the parents trying, they were on the phone constantly and so aware of my situation. Not meaning to paint a black picture! I am sure it will work out, but keep chasing and good luck!!!

My friend is a childminder advised me on that - she wouldn't have it any other way and she has never had any problems. She gets paid by paper vouchers, I had all the problems with direct debits and even now it hasn't been arranged ideally. The parents get paid, one parent's goes in on the 1st of the month and the other the 9th - hence ask a month in advance! Hope it all works out.

I have found the richest parents are the worst for late payments (they have always paid though) I think if you have no money worries at all you forget ordinary people actually need the fee to pay the bills, buy food etc

    I think your right.

Because we live paycheck to paycheck I always know my exact balance and how many days to go till payday that when i dont get paid it leaves me in the poo. Whereas they dont have this issue.
