Default 18 hours over 5 days

My freind has had an enquiry for these hours and is unsure of what to charge, my thoughts were to charge a minimum of say 30 as most weeks he says it will be 25-45 hours but some weeks it will only be 12-18 hours, he is trying to push her down to just the 18, but too me thats not enough to justify a fulltime space (and she really needs the income of a fulltimer) or am i being greedy? obviously it also means if he is on holidays he has only 18 hours of childcare to pay, they are wanting flexibilty hours between 7.30-9pm and occasional weekends so to me this is a fair deal!!!

    Any thoughts??

I think that is fair - I have a similar contract with a parent and we have a 25 hour minimum week that is charged for weekly. The hours between 6 and 9, when worked, would be more.

They finally agreed with her, they did try and push her down but she would not give in
