I also don't charge while on holiday as not available to provide a service, but if parents go away outside these dates, I charge full fees.

Me too, I charge full for parents holidays and child's sickness but nothing for my hols or illness.
I wouldn't dream of charging when I am not available to provide a service for them.

I charge no fee for when I am on hols (4 weeks a yr) and half fee when they are on hols (2 weeks)
But for my term time only contract I charge full pay for my 4 weeks hols and full pay for any hols they take.

I charge for the full year and take 2 weeks holiday. Anything over that which I book off is credited back to the parent, unless it is paid in childcare vouochers

I take 4 weeks holiday off a year unpaid, telling parents well in advance. I also divide the unpaid weeks between 12 months so that I don't feel like I'm losing out.
I charge half fees for all holidays, I take 4 weeks and parents are allowed 4 weeks at half fees any more then they pay full fees. The only thing with charging full fees for parents holidays and no fees for your own is that parents will wait till you are taking a holiday then take theirs at the same time so they don't have to pay you. Charging half fees for all holidays is really just the same as charging full fees for parents holidays it just means you have a little bit of income in the holidays instead of none at all.
I charge 52 weeks of the year
the only time i dont charge is if i am sick
i give them 6 months notice of all my holidays
everyone has always been fine with this

I don't charge for my holidays as I only guarantee to give two weeks notice (last minute bargains!). I used to charge 70% for parents holidays(when wftc paid this much) but found parents had time off but still brought children to me! I now charge half fee for parents hols. (but 1 family still bring lo unless they are actually away!)
I state in all my contracts that I take 4 weeks fully paid annual leave a year.
If I was working for an employer I would get this, and all my parents are quite happy with this.
