Hi everyone. I'm new on here. I've just registered as a childminder in Aldershot. I'm totally new to all of this so if you've got any advice i would really appreciate it. I do have one question though. Is there a grant i can apply for called a start up grant for childminders. I've heard of it but not sure how i go about applying for it.

Hi and welcome. There is a grant you can probably get but I'm not sure who you get it from (can't remember, sorry! ) but one of the girls will tell you all you need to know.

Some areas have a grant others don't. I am not sure who you would contact though.

Hi,

If you contact xxxxx at email xxxxxx or at Aldershot family centre she will be able to send you an application pack to apply for the start up grant for childcare settings. I think you can get up to £250 to pay for equipment, insurance, books etc.
