    Default When parents leave

    Title says it all
Are any of you like me
Panic when a parent gives notice, expecially when you have no one else needing the space and you advertise and still no one contacts you.
Maybe I am just panicking more because it's December.
However I am starting to think going back to working for someone else might be the better deal
Don't get me wrong I love working from home but I seriously worry when parents leave and I struggle to fill places
Just want reassurance that it's not just me feeling this way

I am just worrying that I can fill the space or that someone else gives notice

I also worry. I feel it's just part of being self employed. Most of my parents stay till their child starts school but I think it will change when the 30 hours 'free' childcare comes in as I've found out my local preschool are willing to give every eligible child 27 hours! This will affect me greatly as I'm still sitting on the fence as to whether I can afford to offer it or not.

I think it's only natural to worry when you've got a child leaving.

I've been nicely busy the last few years with children starting with me as babies and leaving when they go to school. It meant my year was predictable and I usually had new children lined up for when the school leavers had moved on.

This September I had a slight panic as I had 4 children leaving for school and no one in to replace them. I did have a fair bit of interest, but nothing that fitted particularly well. It got to the beginning of September and I was starting to worry, then I filled all my spaces within a week, just as the last of the school leavers was finishing. I'm now as full as I want t be (I don't work full time) and have got a baby sibling joining next year as well. I know that something always turns up and I never have vacancies for long, but that was cutting it a bit fine!
