How much would you charge for this?
Normal rate is £5 per hour
I am about to take on a baby (full day)+ her brother before and after school
Brother I will have from 0830-0850 then 1445-1700
How much would you charge?
Thanks

I would charge normal rate for both children for the hours they are with me.
I charge in full hours or half hours ... looking at older childs hours ... I would charge an hour before school and then from 2.30 in the afternoon.

I charge normal rate for both as well - it can be tougher with siblings and I could sell 2 places for full price!

I agree - whatever your normal price. I personally charge hourly rates for under school age and set sessional rates for school children. The hours the older sibling comes would be more short before school rate (no breakfast) and my long after school rate (with a dinner). My sessional rates work out more than my hourly rate.

I would charge full rate for the baby's hours, plus my standard flat fee for before and after school for the schoolie. No discounts.

I find the subject for 'discount' for siblings interesting.
I charge my usual rate for siblings...If I wanted two items of clothing from M&S for two children they wouldn't offer me a discount for the second child's t shirt! McDonalds charge for both happy meals - no discount for bulk purchase.
Swimming lessons - two children, same costs for each. Drayton manor charge 2x child price for visit to Thomas land - no discount for purchase of two tickets!
So, like others have said - normal rates for LO and normal after/ before school charge for older child. - no discount for two from same family - if I took two from different families I would charge normal rate....why do siblings need discounts?

There's a little bit of the Devil in me that, when requested for a sibling discount, really wants to offer it...................... but only if they undergo a Jeremy-Kyle-style paternity test to prove they really are siblings with the same dad.

I personally charge from 8-9 the full hour
As you have agreed 8.30-8.50 I would be charging mum from 8.30-9 but half your £5 so £2.50
And then £10 at night not sure how you would charge for the last 15 mins,
But certainly £12.50 for the school child
