    Default funded places ....hourly rate ??

    Can I ask what the hourly rate is for the LA funded places is ?......I live in Stockport and cant seem to find a figure ...trying to
    sort out if its worth doing ...thanks

    sorry I don't know.
    Every LA is different!!! ring your FIS and ask, or ask to be put through to the finance/nursery funding department.

    As said, ring your LA and ask, but don't forget to ask what the 2 year old figure us, and also what the 3/4 year old figure is

    ...and check if there is any extra money per hour depending on child's postcode. Some postcodes are seen as 'deprived' areas and LA may pay a bit more for children from those areas (you can see why it is hard to get a straight answer!)

    And ask what the pupil premium is too , some 3 year olds will qualify for an additional payment , you need to show how this is used to improve outcomes for the child.

    This maybe of help ...funding for 2 year olds in different LAs...or what the DfE expects LAs to give us...the average being £5.09
    The funding is usually lower when children reach age 3

    our rate for 3 year olds is £3.90

    Our rates are £10 per week higher than my normal rate for 2 year olds, and £7 less per week for 3 year olds. So if I were to have a child for the two years, I think of it as swings and roundabouts!
