going from early yrs to before/after school
Hi,
My full time mindee will be going up to reception in Sept, so will move to before/after school and holidays only. I'm very restricted on spaces, not just by ofsted but by the local council too, I can only have 4mindees at any time under the age of 14. Therefore every space really needs to count financially! With this in mind, what would you all do regarding before and after school fees? She currently attends from 7.45-4.15 on some days, or 8.15-4.45 on other days, and I presume she'd want the same drop off and collection times.
What would you all charge- just the regular hourly rate, or a minimum of X amount of hours' fee per day/per morning and after school session?
Thanks

I would charge a set session fee as she's going to be with you such a short amount of time. My fee after school is £10 but I know people on this forum charge a lot more. It depends where you live and the rates in your area.

You may also have to consider not taking her on as a school age child if it effects your ratios and £££ to much.
I only take a 6 year old into school in the mornings, so charge a flat rate. I cut back on all my school runs as it was impacting on my little ones around their sleep, eating times and my sanity!!
Works for me!
Cost wise you could charge a flat rate, higher rate? Make sure you cover cost for food, I find when they start school their appetite shoots up as they don't like the school meals 😁

Hi, I charge £5 per hour for TTO contracts with a minimum of 2 hours after school to make it worth my while having them.
