Default how to charge - please help

Will be starting tto contract in May. Ive worked out 39 weeks fees divided in to 12 monthly payments.

However this child will start on May 12th, so would the first months payment be due to as normal at beginning of month in May, or would I charge the 2 weeks I will have her in May apart and then start the normal 12 monthly fee from June?

What to do? Parents haven't asked as I think they're unsure too...what should I do?

If it was me I would charge just the weeks they use in May them monthly after that. I would not like to be charged a whole month when I start in middle of it. Plus parent sees what a reasonable person you are

I only charge for what the parents book so yes tge payment would be due 1st may but they would only pay from starting date.

You never know how things will pan out with people so what I would do is:

work out how many weeks between start date and end August and then divide by 4 month s (may-Aug inclusive) and the first payment for May would be due 1st May and then 1st month thereafter.

From Sept I would do the 12 monthly rate. Don't you charge any holidays? I get 3 weeks so my term time contracts are worked out for 41 weeks and divided by 12.

Hi Chatterbox no I don't charge for the term holidays, I charge no retainer fee at all only the 39 weeks of the year for my tto's. For my all year rounders I charge their holidays but not mine

    Is this what you meant?

    Do you charge anything?

I would be worried that if I split the tto payments over 12 months and they left before the year is up then I would be out of pocket? Has anyone else found this problem? x

Hi Wee Elf yes this is a big risk, I have a deposit so hopefully that would help buffer any losses..
