Employers vouchers

Does anyone accept employers child care vouchers? I have a parent who wants me to accept them but I have no idea how they work or if it's a good idea to accept them?
Any advice very welcome.

Hi they are very easy.

Ask your parents which childcare voucher company their work uses.

Sign up to that voucher company-bank details etc.

Remind parents to get the amount authorised with their work

I accept them and they are generally very easy to manage. You have to sign up with the company (usually online). Couple of things to know:
Allow extra time for them to clear (3-4 working days). Either tell parents they must action them with the company 3-4 days before the invoice is due, or adjust your money due by date to 4 days before you need the money in your account.
The first payment can take longer than 3-4 days but it's usually fine after this.
Do not allow parents to over-pay you with vouchers and then expect you to refund them. This is fraud! If parents over pay you, you must only pay money back to the voucher company. This is because tax hasn't been paid on the money so it is only to be used for childcare.
