I usually charge half fee to the parents for the half terms. Because they don't need me in the half terms and they are happy to pay it. But this half term I will be away. Should I still charge the half fee ? They would still pay it if I would be here and not care for their children.

I don't charge if I can't work because I am away - but I know lots of childminders who do!! You should follow your fees policy but if parents are concerned you need to be willing to talk to them and work something out between you
