It all really depends on the area you are.

Do some research in to what other carers charge, including after school clubs etc.

Work out how much you can afford to charge. What is the absolute minimum you can afford to live on? You need to be able to budget for when you are low on children etc.

For me, living in Essex just 40 minutes from London I charge £4.00 an hour, for all annual contract including before and after school, this includes all meals, snacks and some outing. I also charge £4.25 for term time only contract and school holiday only contracts.

I am more or less in line with other minders.. Some charge £3.50 an hour but do not include food/charge extra for food. Some even charge as much as me without anything included.

I'm in Suffolk and I charge £3.60 per hour which includes snacks...although I'm considering putting my fees up slightly. Round my area fees vary from £3.40 - £3.75 per hour and I know a few who charge £4...
£2.50 seems low but depends on where you are x

It really depends on what the going rate is for your area.

I charge £3.75 per hour, min £30 per day for under 5's.

Schoolies I have a min of £5 per hour before school and min £8 per hour after school including snack - schoolies can eat a lot at the end of the day!
