Nanny fees

Hi, can anyone tell me how much nannys charge per hour roughly please?

Round here (SE) it's £10-12 take home pay & I gather it's similar in London possibly a touch more for someone very experienced.

I'm in herts and get £12.50hr, plus allowance and petrol. X

When I was a nanny in County Durham (before having children) I was on £8 per hour in 2005. When I moved to York in 2006 I was on £14 per hour (pre children) I have just left a nanny position where I took my 2 daughters with me so I accepted £9 per hour.
I do think region has a big part to play in what you can charge per hour as a nanny but experience and qualifications also can influence how much you are worth. I would aslo say flexiability plays a huge part along with gelling with the family when you meet them.
You could give your local nanny agencies a ring and ask them what they think the going rate is so you don't price yourself out of the market.
