Hi all can someone please advise me how much to charge I'm looking at taking on a 9mth old baby from 7:15-17:30 2 days a week and 7:15-13:30 one day a week. Assuming they provide all the good what daily fee would you charge each day?

    Just charge your hourly rate?

I would charge £4.70 for the hour 7-8 (unsociable as I start at 8) then £3.70 every hour til home time.
I do a daily charge of £30 depending what your area charge is! That's 8-6. Food included but wouldn't reduce if they provide food x

7:15-17:30 I would charge my daily rate £34.00 (8am - 5.30pm) plus £7.00 (3.50 per half hour - or part thereof outside day rate) = £41.00 per full day and 7:15-13:30 I would charge a full day rate £34.00 as I charge by the day only and off course not charge extra for early start.

or dependent if I needed the business I may consider charging three full day rates and compensate the early starts for early finish on the third day = 3 x £34.00

good luck and I hope you get the business

I charge by the hour. My hourly rate is £4.00 and includes everything except nappies. I don't give reductions if parents wanted to provide food. My hourly rate at £4 runs from 7am-7pm. Any later I charge £6 per hour.

I would charge £66 for the full day & £42 for the half day (£6/hr 7:30-6pm otherwise £6/half hour) this include everything. I don't actually start before 7:30 as I found it interferes with own kids/family life too much & thankfully have been lucky enough to have lots of enquiries starting later.

There is quite a variation in fees, I guess it depends on what is acceptable in your area. I would work out how much you would work for on a normal day and just times it by 3. This would take account of the early starts but also the early finish on day 3. That way you have an afternoon off and don't need to worry about it not being filled.

£66 for a full day?????? wow, i wish lol

I used to get £25 now have reduced it to £20 to compete with local nursery. I think i would charge hourly rate as i only offer daily rate if child does 5 full days. My hourly rate is £3.20 but i no longer provide food, each child bring their own, even snacks

It depends where you live, the demand etc. I charge £6 per hour which includes food. No discount for long days because the demand for chilminders is so high along with Daycare.
