Weekly Pay
Hi,
I have had a lovely family see me this morning and im crossing fingers they want to start.
They asked whether id accept pay weekly and if a deposit was needed.
Most of my children pay monthly in advance. Would you ask for 2 weeks up front and then weekly?
Thought never crossed my find.
Thanks

If you normally have a two weeks notice period I would hold a deposit of two weeks and then accept payment for the week coming on the last day of previous week. If a four week notice period, I would ask for that.

I always ask for 2 weeks pay when they sign contracts which is kept until the end of the contract.
Parents then either pay weekly or monthly. After schoolies all pay monthly as weekly would be too much hassle for the smallish amount of money!
2 of my parents pay weekly - one gets her tax credits weekly so pays when she gets them and another parent just choose to pay weekly. I prefer monthly but give parents the choice as some are still paid weekly.

I take a four weeks fees Deposit so it covers the Notice Period. If a parent wants to pay me weekly then I only accept cash payment on the first day of care of the week, no paying into my account, no childcare vouchers or cheques only cash. No payment, no care and that is written into the contract very clearly so the parent understands.

Brilliant - I was just about to post a question about deposits!

I have one parent who pays weekly (after school child) i have charged her 1 months fee to cover notice period and then she pays me every Monday, so all fees are paid in advance.

All my parents pay me weekly as that's what I prefer, they all pay me on the first day of the week that their child is with me.

I don't mind how they pay me, as long as they pay me
