    Default Training for new EYFS?

    Hi
I was wondering which counties were already offering training for the new EYFS and if you had to pay for it? I cant find any info on training available in Nottinghamshire free or paid!

Herts will be doing training in June/July but not releasing the dates for it until towards the end of April.

NCMA are offing a range of training on the new EYFS online for its members. You can register by going into the membership area on the website.

Same here, I'm booked onto the only Saturday they are doing and we don't have to pay for it here either

I did mine last week and didn't have to pay. (Derby) All the dates are completed now but I think they'll have to offer some more as I only know 4 childminders that have been on it.

I was just going to say this (except the bit about not paying cos I didn't know that). There's nothing local to me though....might have to see which one you're going on loocyloo and book onto that one lol.

Our training is still being written but I am sure will be delivered on time.

I am also waiting for the NCMA training online as it will save me time

In Swindon Wiltshire I understand it is still being written. It has always been free in the past as it was compulsory but not sure this time.

I live in West Yorkshire and to be honest I hadn't really thought that training for it would be a requirement. Are Ofsted expecting all childminders to have completed training? How are we supposed to know about this if nobody tells us?

I don't think you have to do training but all Local Authorities have to do some for childminders who want it.
