Good question and I would like to know this myself as we have a LO who goes to nursery in the afternoons 5 sessions a week.

Everything we do with her is based around the EYFS however we do not do a learning journal for her, as this is done by the nursery.

    Thanks for that Dave

Child I have will be going 5 afternoons a week same as my daughter, seems a bit daft for both me and nursery to do a learning journal.

Might ask my mentory type person from the council if I can get hold of her next week.

Could you not add your bits to the child's nursery learning journal?

Might mean asking to bring it home once a fortnight or so, so that you can dbl check what nursery have been doing and thus plan some of your own next steps?

I tend to know what nursery are doing each week (ie last week they just talked about poppy day and the armed forces), so I knew I was free to plan a CD activity (poppy field potato prints) thanks to another forum member for that idea.
