    Default Eyfs framework review

It is only 47 pages long and is so important to our future work... so if you get the chance over the weekend please have a look at the consultation document -

    http://www.education.gov.uk/consulta...rnal=no&menu=1

I have read through the document and had some initial thoughts.

I have also spotted some areas which I think need further clarification...

Please if anyone notes anything else would they add comments to the thread so that I can include them when I do the consultation document.

    Thank you!

Thanks for that Sarah. I've already filled in the consultation with pretty much similar comments to you but you have added more.

    Thanks Sarah

I filled in and sumbitted on day it was out.

Pretty much the same points / concerns / need for clarification

but also about 'goals' in reading and writing - my concern is by saying end of EYFS - many expect children to have achieved these goals by time go into school - due to all the confusion about when EYFS ends and 'schooling' starts.

I have commented that it would be better to change the wording on all 'goals' to begining of Key Stage One - as most understand when that is.

When you have 4 or more qualifying forum posts you will be able to open it Emma.

I have sent it to you by email as discussed.

I will give the doc to Pauline to put in free downloads at the top of the forum then it will be accessible to everyone

Sarah's document and links are now on the main page of the Free Resources, I have put it there as it will only be needed for a short time so will be more easy to remove, plus in bold red it might not be missed!

Just picking up on one point in that childminders assistants must be over 18. My daughter became my assistant at 16, her age was never queried so I assumed it was fine.(she's 18 now) My son is almost 16 and also wants to register as my assistant. Can he do so now(ie when he turns 16 ), or is the 18 rule in force now, or will it be in 2012?

    I have just done it!

It didn't take me long - about half an hour - but then I'm quite wordy

Please take time this weekend to fill it in. You don't have to answer every question in depth there are lots of yes / no questions.

If our voices are not heard we cannot moan if they don't hear us
