PLOD possible lines of direction.

My own take on this sort of thing is that parents have more than once asked me not to use these forms in their LJs. So the only use for me would be for planning. I prefer a different form of planning.....

I've not heard of this being used in a child's lj..... we had to do PLOD sheets at college to look at our own positives and weaknesses.

I am upset because my NVQ assessor said I should be doing plods and she was not at all interested in my alternative way of doing it. She said Ofsted expect it and to get it done before they come (in 2 weeks for my first inspection)
She did not accept that a photo with a caption showing whar was achieved, a sticker indicating area of L and D and a simple statement constituting next steps in the LJ was sufficient. I also do detailed day to day activity logs showing obs and next steps too. I do regular summative assessments as well.
This is totally absurd and will make me resentful but I feel I have to comply.

Poppycock! There is no set way of doing things.

You do whatever you feel works best for you and the children.

Please do not feel pushed into making changes that you feel are wrong xx

Bless you Sarah -I feel a bit bamboozled . She also said I should tick each item on my health and safety check list ( 26!!) every day rather than sign once in my diary to say I'd done it.
