    Default Is it just me?

I have just got my Who Minds and on the inside cove is an advert for these.

Is there something wrong with children holding hands these days? Am I just old fashioned? I think this is horrible. The one for 2 children.

But the others it strikes me how do you deal with children of different heights and ages. What ever happens if one of them falls over

Honestly, I never realised the kids were tied to the thing till now! Not something I would ever use. I'll stick to reins and hand holding, at least the kids aren't all tied together.

snap ricky - I thought exactly that - what is wrong with kids holding hands and being taught to walk nicely beside you and in a responsible fashion

Yeah, next they'll be throwing in a few muddy streams and some horrendous mountains to climb...reminds me of the army squaddies carrying logs across an assault course.
Was this item dreamed up by one of Sir Alan's apprentices?

And the video is cringeworthy...yes I have just watched it (how sad).
Especially the woman who states that it allows her to interact more with the children ...erm, HOW exactly does it do that???

Isn't it just!! I liked the comment about allowing the children to interact more with the outside world??????? Not sure how that works?

Did you notice the poor lad at the back who fell over, his jeans are soaked to the knee.

I must say none of the children looked very happy walking along like that.

I looked at it and just actually laughed out loud and all my mindees started looking at me... I showed them and asked if they wanted one and they ran off...

My first thought was of dominoes if one fell Over. The other is that this will probably have more Health and safety concerns than It will fix. One child trying to run off will just pull everyone over and might end up with all the children in front of a car rather than just one.

but seeing as they can unclip themselves!!!! hey ho one can just do a runner anyway....
Isuppose you could superglue them all in and then tie them up to the nearest railings and 'interact' with them

Well if it was good enough for the suffragettes...
Didn't think you were allowed to do that anymore?

Good point Pip Never mind all the nipped fingers!

An idle thought. I wonder how many will end up in the back of a cupboard somewhere?

IMO it is so unneeded its unreal - I mean seriously, what happened to teaching children to hold hands/the buggy etc and actually expecting them to do it? If I had a child who was undisciplined enough to run off I certainly wouldn't be clipping him/her to another child to drag over with them!

I also thought it looked a bit odd. I'd hate to walk down the street like that, it just doesn't look natural.
