Question 'EYFS things to do' download

    Hi,

On the 'Resources' page of this site there is a download called "EYFS Things To Do" and I'm stuck on a couple of questions because I don't know what they mean. Can someone explain them to me please?

    1. Parents = Letter re other settings
    2. Other Settings = Letter of introduction (signed by parent)

I haven't looked but I assume it's Sarahnev's list as she was very organised.

Part of EYFS is about working with other settings so I assume these are a letter to the parents informing them that you want/need to work with other settings their child attends like playgroup or nursery and why. Then the letter of introduction is just that - explains who you are, who your looking after and is signed by the parent to allow the other setting to share information with you.

Yes Miffy is right... we have to work with other settings as part of Eyfs but we need parents permission to do this...

So I approached parents, informed them about this new requirement, got their signature on a letter which I then sent to the Playgroup / Nursery. The ball is then in the court of the other setting... I have done my bit.

Always ask - I wrote the list for me, uploaded it here on an impulse so it's how I think and might not always be obvious to anyone else!

    Hope this helps
