    Default Visitors coming to stay

Have the guidelines on visitors coming for short stay in our home changed. My understanding is its fine as long as they are not left alone with children ?

Yes that's right as far as I know, risk assess, never leave alone with children. I'd also inform parents so they know the situation.

When my mother in law stayed after a major op 3 years ago I was told by Ofsted after enquiring that I needed to inform them. At the time there were people on the forum who were saying their visitors needed a dbs which is why I enquired. I just rang and gave her name and approx of how long she may be with us. I was sent a letter informing me that I must not leave children alone with her.
Not sure if anything has changed since.
