Childminder/preschool..
Just a quick question. ..can a childminder advertise or put on their documents that they are "registered childminder/preschool?" Just wondering if, as we offer the funding and some children don't attend another setting or preschool, can we say our settings are childcare/preschool?

I can't see anything to stop you. There doesn't seem to be a regulatory definition of "a Preschool" nor is it a trade term, so I doubt you'd be breaking any rule.
However, you might find parents come to you expecting something rather different from what you're offering as a CM. I think they'd expect a Preschool to be a group setting.
I'd be more inclined to use a description such as "Ofsted-registered childminder providing preschool childcare" or "registered childminder for children of preschool age" or similar.

Good advice from Bunyip!
We say that we are like a pre-school for our 3 and 4 year olds .

It's really difficult to get the wording right.
I always used to say that I looked after pre-school aged children. I meant I looked after children up to the age when they started school (so from birth to 4 years old), but some people thought I only looked after 3 & 4 years old! Sometimes you need to be more specific, like Bunyip suggests.
