    Default **NEW** EYFS 2017 published!

The revised Eyfs has finally been published by DfE.

There are a few changes but nothing huge - https://www.gov.uk/government/upload...EWORK_2017.pdf

We have been provided with a 1 page guide to most of the changes - http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/fi...ders_FINAL.pdf.

If you have any questions please ask!

    Thanks Sarah.

Having read the sections highlighted in the 'one page changes" document, I'm really struggling to see what's changed.

Weren't we promised clarification on sickness exclusions and how often safeguarding training would be required?

we've got both of those ...

Sickness they've linked the Public Health England guidance...

Safeguarding training clarified in Gill Jones blog - Inspecting safeguarding in the early years - a reminder of the guidance and some commonly asked questions | Ofsted - developments in education inspection

I think they've missed a trick with a few things but at least they've kept the numbers the same so we don't have to mess about changing too much! !

Thanks Sarah, after all that there appears to be very few changes for us.

    Thanks Sarah.

If only they'd put all the rules for childcare in one place. How many CMs have the time to trail through obscure blogs, even if they know of their existence?

Thanks Sarah, that's really helpful. Just out of interest has anyone got a list/tick sheet etc of the 'musts' and 'shoulds' (which are now musts!)? Thanks
