Default Learning journeys - are these needed for before and after school children in my care?

    Hey can anyone help?
Sorry if this is a silly question but I have just registered as a childminder. I have a friend who wants me to care for her daughter 2 nights a week after school and her daughter is in Reception class and therefor under the EYFS. Do I need to complete assessments and observations of her and create a learning journey for her?
I understand about assessments and tracking childrens development but was a little unclear.

No - once children are in reception full time we no longer need to monitor their learning and development

I do however, do the occasional observation, or at least take photos that I share with school of my reception children and they share their LJs with me.
