From your perspective I have given wrong advice from lots more I have given the correct advice.

I sorry if you think on this forum that only people that can reply are the op's themselves. Think the forum will be very quiet if everyone was to abide by this way of thinking.

Surely you already had the answer when you copied that exact information from the OP's post #1 into your post #3 ?????

I had two under ones at my inspection, I started childminding when my daughter was 7 months and I had a 5 month old as my first mindee. Ofsted inspected when they were both under 1 and they said it was fine as I had two highchairs, a double pushchair etc and they were more than happy.
    Hope this helps x

Thank you ...that is what I was trying to say when I asked if it was the cm's own baby and she wanted to take on another baby...from what I gathered at an Ofsted workshop in the past this can be an exceptional case...hope it is still so.

    Different CMs have different approaches.

Some like to be sure we're doing the right and proper thing.

    Others rely on "hope".

..............wonder which would be regarded as "professional".

Perhaps grandparents would be more inclined to agree to a temporary arrangement, knowing you will be able to continue once your lo is a year old?

Mind you, the plan where you just take an extra couple of months before you go back to work at all sounds appealing ....
