Wow - I assumed it would be just ticks or a few words here or there that you would need to fill in but there is heaps of writing to do!!!

They've revised the form since Monday - it's now 30 pages long!

Well naturally I tried to log onto the SEF and what a surprise my logon didn't work (apparently this would be because they do not have my date of birth on file which I find difficult to believe). Anyway I phoned up to get it sorted and they gave me an e-mail address. OK I thought, simple - oh no, this is Ofsted remember - there is no such e-mail address it was returned as unable to send.

Second call to Ofsted - woman on other end didn't have a clue what I was talking about and it took her ages to sort out putting my date of birth onto the data base. You would have thought that after sending out all those letters they would have trained their staff - and they expect us to know what we are doing.

I have lost the will to live.

Did eventually get my log in sorted - very frustrating

I have just saved a copy. Will print it off when i have some ink! Then i can jot things down all over it!

If we only rate ourselves as good do you think we have any hope of them grading us as outstanding or will they think we are being big headed and grade us down?

I have also saved a copy - I'm wary of just completing it on the computer.

I had my letter and "token" on Thursday and my surname begins with L - I suspect it's being done alphabetically

When Ofsted came out to me last year I rated my self as Good and she just agreed so im going for outstanding where ever i can prove it to see what happens

I was wondering about that too.

I don't think that I'm probably outstanding at anything but if I don't put that will I only be graded as good? It's hard to know if you are outstanding or good because you don't have anything to compare it to like the inspectors do so how can you possibly judge?

I think if you can explain what you are good at and why then its always worth a shot

If you want to be graded outstanding then that is what you should tell the inspector and be prepared to tell her/him WHY you are outstanding.

After all you have nothing to lose

I have taken a good look at it and thought I ought to start. It took me over an hour to be happy with what I had put just in the first section part A.
This is going to be a huge piece of work!!

I did take a quick look at it and my eyes glazed over!!!! OMG it may as well be in a different language for all i understand, i agree with Carolyn i'm still trying to get my head around all the other things under EYFS. Surely this is not what childminding is really about.

I got that message 4 times last night (finally got round to looking at it).

Make sure you enter the long combination of letters and numbers (gateway id) exactly as is.
